It's hard to believe that my first three years in the world's greatest air power have flown by as fast as they have, but it has been a great ride thus far!  keep the good times coming!

POL!  HOOAAHH!

upon leaving for basic training on may 21st 2002, i myself was petrified of what i was getting myself into, but looking back on it now, basic training really flew by, and was not as bad as i thought it would be.  if i can do it, i assure you that you can as well!  basic training brought on some great relationships with new friends that i will have forever, and it will never be forgotten.

from basic training at lackland air force base - san antonio, I moved on to my petroleum, oils, & lubricants (POL) technical training at Sheppard air force base  - texas on july 8th 2002 for 6 weeks of training on my new career field.  tech school was far from challenging, but it did indeed teach me a lot about my job that i am doing today.

from tech school i pcs'd to mcguire air force base - new jersey, to the 305 logistics readiness squadron fuels management flight.  upon first arriving at mcguire, i spent some time in distribution, then moved on to the bulk storage element, then to hydrants, on to cryogenics, and then back to bulk storage where i am today.

i first deployed to "southwest Asia" in THE fall of 2003, returning to the united states in late spring 2004.  my next tour started in the spring of 2005, and i returned home once again in the fall of 2005.  during those two long deployments i have gotten to see some exciting things to say the least, and i would not trade these EXPERIENCES for the world.  it is an incredibly proud feeling to deploy, knowing that you are serving your country, and protecting the freedom of a nation!

i have also had the opportunity to go tdy twice to macdill air force base - Florida, first for athrs (Mobility equipment) school, and then again for abfds (aerial bulk fuel delivery system) school.  I have also had the opportunity to "deploy" to Gulfport Mississippi to participate in a mobility exercise.

the whole air force experience has been awesome thus far, and hopefully it will keep getting better.  when asked if i have any regrets, the answer is no, and i can't be any more thankful for being the person that i am today, and the person that i will be in the future.  for those of you who offered me encouragement through the whole enlisting process, i want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart!  Thanks to pam as well for being by my side and the best "someday air force wife" in the world!
